Paadaatha Paattellaam with ... Lyrics & Chords
During my school days I got crazy about the gentle romantic dance movements by the veteran actor Disco Anand relaxing in his chair. Another reminiscing moment would be the harmony part in this song duly supported by the expressive eyes of E.V. Saroja. The story involved the eternal triangular love wherein Chachu and Anand would love each other. E.V. Saroja was in one-sided love with Anand (thaniyaa route vittu paathaanga) and this song comprised of the moment when Anand sits in a movable chair and sings hoping that Chachu is behind him perfoming the harmony while it was E.V.Saroja with awesome expressions and subtle movements. Unfortunately I was not born in 1962, otherwise E.V. Saroja would not have been in such a miserable position……
This song was sung by P.B. Srinivas and am sure you all would unanimously admit that no one can equal PBS who has got his own style of delivering nuances. My parents love PBS’ songs and there are many reasons for that. I am very conscious not to ruin the melodies of PBS and I wouldn’t say this was challenging to me and rather this was most challenging. And the co-singer, who has rendered original harmonies, is none other than S. Janaki (I was surprised to know that S. Janaki was the one who sang ‘Oho Endhan Baby’ song with A. M. Raja)…. What a mind blowing composition by Viswanathan –Ramamurthy team and artistic execution would be the only result when the lyrics get penned by Kannadhaasan.
No words to say- this song was aptly supported by Roshine in this cover without uttering any words. Her harmonies portion was beautifully rendered, thanks to her commitment and versatility. Musical sense need not be conveyed through words, however it could be more effective through harmonies too….
Mixing was done at DD Studio in Birmingham by me (Dwarak Digital Studio nu ippo than peru vachen paal kooda kaachinen but paal la sakkarai illa ippo athellaaam thevaiyaa). This is my second rendition and my debut attempt on mixing this cover. I sincerely look forward to your feedback and tips on mixing (Mixing la yethaachum thappu irunthaa unga veettu pillaiyaa nenachi mannichikonga).
