This is a lovely song apdinu naan solluven, this is a lovely rendition apdinu neenga solluvinga (solluvingalaa???) Goes as a dedication to the genetically determined trait called love. Love majorly takes the form of human relationships, however people love the sky, the sun rise and sun set, blossoming of a flower, the extracting of nectar from flower by bees,cuteness of pet animals and other forms of nature and beautiful things. Few people go in search of God, however I firmly believe that ‘Nature’ is a super power as its elements make me happy, gives me soothing effect, supports me in times of staidness. From my childhood, I am interested in the demeanor of ‘Nature’….
The sequence of the original song would fit melodious style however this cover is deliberately performed with the intent to take the targeted audience to a different level of expressing love with a dream sequence; the sequence being the guy who is away and misses his girl friend, dreams of the day when he would meet his love lady after a long time with this song being shooted partially in a Volkswagen Gypsy car and partially on an island in hawaiian wear with subtle dance movements. I believe that love between a guy and a gal is an awesome feeling (expressed as ‘mrithuvaanathu’ in tamil) such that both must be friendly and happy and keep smiling, free from doubt and full of trust. I also opine that a lover/partner must possess all the qualities of a best friend in terms of support extended, the comfort level and sharing of ideas frankly. I generally prefer to sing sad love songs as I believe there is more scope for singing in such genre in terms of expression and the feel, however I want this song to be a hooray jolly song dedicated to people who respect true love and affection among my fellow human beings. I hope I have the right to take you all with me, my dear friends to a festive mood that celebrates this occasion.
Vishnu has done the mixing for this cover – thanks a lot da for being so friendly, professional, kind and patient enough to wait for me to send my singing portion. I am really glad to hear my voice after mixing ( haiyoo naan kooda paaditten) – credit to Vishnu….
Last but not the least, what a privilege for me to sing my first number with ‘Versatility Queen’ Roshine!!! Roshine has done a splendid job in supporting me on many aspects in this rendition, right from explaining what is audacity software and its recording until the edition. Thanks a lot Roshine for being very much helpful and so patient in spoon feeding me with technical and singing nuances. If you feel this cover is nice, the credit would certainly go to my friend Roshine, however if it’s otherwise, I would consider it as my limitations in singing. In the second stanza, ‘Vegu thooram nirkum kaathal pothum baby ingu vaa’ is sung as ‘baby odi vaa’ to express a kind of wild affection (thappaa paadittu ennada samaalikkara??? Lol)….
This is my first song in an official musical website and I feel like being in a stage awaiting the responses from audience with a hope to improve myself in further renditions. Thanks all for this opportunity and wish u all a ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’.
