This is my FAVORITE song, and I have listened to this song a million times, as well as all other songs from His Highness Abdulla. So every twist and turn in this song by Yesudas is by heart.
You have sang some of the vrugas and gamakams in your style which also sounds pretty good.
And your base voice makes this rendition a pleasure to listen to. Good job! 5/5

I liked your rendition for bold self improvisations. Loved the spirit of it.

You have a nice heavy bass voice … rare gift!.

I would say with a bit more polish to iron out the crinkles here and there in your style, you would sound awesome. Looks like your voice has been classically trained to an extent from what I can discern.

The reverb is a touch heavy and takes away the natural voice I felt.

Superb voice and a very very good attempt. Some of the improvs, i felt – were jarring the flow like the last kathayil…could be also bec the original is so etched that any variation kind of jolts….felt a mild off at 0:26. But KUDOS for attempting this and singing the way you did!5 from me too

And now regarding the song and your singing …You did a very decent job…Excellent feel and expressions. The imprvisation at’ethetho kathayil’ was well attempted but could not bring out perfection there… I felt there were slight pitching issues and some sangatis could have been better…

Came back to this again. This makes me nostalgic. I watched the movie when I was very young. Although I don’t remember one bit of the movie, every scene of this song is etched in my mind and the tune too.

hi Mohanji, another very difficult song. You have rendered it with boldness & confidence!! it shows your classical knowledge.

your voice resembles with Dasettan in many places but the style of singing was more close to Ravindran mash (i feel). i mean bit ‘raw’. Dasettan has put a ‘magical touch’ to it with an extremely smooth singing, thus nicely brought out the hindustani mood in the composition.

i liked your improvisation in the charanam.

Well done Mohan lal. You have made few improvisations in some portions. But i feel the original itself is so suitable for the song. You have done a good rendering and have a good throat also to you. So please listen the song more and more times and you will surely be able to sing the correct song as Dasettan sings. Keep it up and sing more songs like this.
