A long-awaited number from you… Thanks for obliging to my request… Would like to share a few things about this movie since I have close association with the crew of this movie… :-) This ought to have been the second flick after, ‘Chiththiram Paesuthadi’ but Myskkin was cornered to drop this as he couldn’t rope-in any of the established artistes for the lead role, which he has donned in the movie later… Many call it a carbon-copy of yesteryear’s Japanese classic, KIKUJIRO but its not actually so… In fact, Mysskin took nearly 8 months to come out with the screen-play of the movie, spicing it up with the scenes reminding his unique poetic touches… Can anyone forget those novel scenes, artistically implanted at the right sequences in his maiden, ‘Chiththiram Paesuthadi’?? And his second venture, ‘Anjathey’ fell in place to vent out his frustrations with the so-called, Image and stardom of the stalwarts which panicked them to get into the trade for ‘Nandalala’… Believe me – His determination helped him rebuild his physique to fit the bill… He has shed weight substantially to earn the eligibility to use the protagonist’s apparel… Another creator who will never compromise for anyone… I like his directorial adamance… Enough is enough… :-)
About your singing, I felt your soul knitting every note in this song in tact… I wanted to listen to this in your voice and thanks for this treat… Muthulingam is one of those unnoticed lyricists who can easily bring out the mood with the usage of ordinary words… He has done a fabulous job, given the song sequence in the movie… This performance of yours will easily outweigh your other posts… Great going here… You brought the visuals to my retina, though my lids were shut while listening to this… :-) Keep up the good work… God bless you, brother!!!!

I am totally honored and humbled to see your views about this rendition. Aanatha Kaneer malga magizchi kolgiren. Secondly, you are true about Muthulingam. Kamal said about him during Virmaandi time, how he came to know about the meaning of “udhavakara” which we used to hear often. He used in his lyrics in the song “Mada Velakka…” like this “Aaraaga nee oda udhavakara naanu”. Excellent interpretation of the word. Ungalukkaga, neenga ketta adutha paadal K-track ready pannivitten. Paada vendiyathu thaan baaki. Guess what ?

Excellent song pick Anbu!!! Happened to see this movie on the day it got released in Birmingham. Unforgettable moments as I went to this movie with mah friends who had come from India on an official trip for a week’s time…. They were in a very gr8 mood to enjoy themselves on that day, but it was not the movie of their like…. Even I didn’t expect the movie to be so dragging. Later I realised that we must prepare our mind first before watching this kinda movie. Those friends pleaded so much to leave the cinema hall, but I made them stay until the climax scene where Mysskin meets his mom tied at the back of the house and carries her on his arms to a mental asylum…. Undoubtedly Mysskin has got immense talents…. One thing I completely enjoyed in this movie is Ilayaraja’s outstanding background score…. I am not qualified to comment about Ilaiyaraja’s voice and I hear his voice in yours…. Emoted so well Anbu…. I wish you must try ‘Veettukku veettukku vaasapadi veNum’ song…. Best wishes Anbu bro!!!

Honestly speaking, this is the first time I am hearing this song…. (Hope Muzibians dont kick me for this)…. But, as many of the people have commented, you have melted the heart with your blessed voice and rendition….
One small correction on the phrase “சங்கிலியால் நீயே கட்டி கொண்ட ஞாயம் உண்டா”. The ‘konda’ sounded as ‘Kondaa’……
Nevertheless, an overwhelming experience….

Thanks Maple Fareej for your comments. The songs of the movie were released quite a long time ago and that’s the reason, lot of people don’t remember the score. About the lyrics, in fact what I sang was correct. The mistake is in the lyrics which I typed in here.
சங்கிலியால் நீயே கட்டி கொண்டா ஞாயம் உண்டா is meaningful.
