Anna…as I was reading your write up your vocals stepped the lines read were IR in Yuvans composition and for a few seconds I only visualised IR and then it hit me its YOU singing….i know much has been said…but truly such was the effect that kicked in.

Due to the intermittent net connectivity here, my attempts to register my thoughts went in vain twice… :(

‘KatRathu Thamizh’ is the name of the movie which the label carried… Thamizh M.A was renamed as KatRathu Thamizh… Director Ram is one to append the list of promising directors who seem to take up off-beat subjects and frame the screenplay pivoted to a strong gist… No gimmicks, No fallacies, No fantasies and No fabricated scenes to promote the protagonist as a larger than life character… To sum up, Ram belongs to the league thats attributed to Bala, Ameer, Radha Mohan and likes where the screenplay leads from the front and the characters just paddle and help the crew to reach home successful… :) Such a delicate subject this was, making even the top guns from the production side to panic foreseeing the result… And as they expected, this movie did bomb at the box-office though it was critically acclaimed… He did carve a niche for himself in style amidst his failure as a director commercially… The love sequences involving Jeeva-Anjali were heart-felt and would surely evoke the emotions in one whose heart is made of flesh and blood… :) Jeeva actually deserves an award for his stunning gate-performance in this movie depicting a frustrated youth throwing tantrums on others at every available chance… If you place this movie in your unbiased kaleidoscope, you will arrive at many messages which the society has to confess for having left unnoticed… Those graduated in literature are treated as secondary set of people when compared to those computer graduates…

About this song, I always loved this number for its awesome orchestration and usage of IR’s voice to depict the painful search that the hero ensues in the movie to spot his sweetheart… In this song, your voice sounded very very close to IR, Say 99%… Usually I don’t really like someone calling someone as a clone of someone… But some songs on reproduction if heard like the original, the cover singer has to be accredited with due credits for sounding like the original singer… :) Your singing was just outta the world… I have felt two sort of emotions in your singing… During the pallavi, your emotions were exactly falling in place as demanded for this song and lyrics… It was like a volcano of emotions of pine ready to erupt anytime but underplaying just fuming out the ashes… You have done a fantastic job there… And when you strolled to the charanams, it was like walking down the be-dewed lawn with the soles that carry burns after having walked a hot desert… I meant the emotions here… Fantastic job and your new recording gear has brought your voice to the show with all its glory… :) Long live anbu aNNa!!! Have listened to this clone-cover for about 15 times already… Now you have got two options left – to cover the song I requested next or to cover it and post it in succession to your next upload… :D

Oh this is such a haunting song and you’ve sung well. Pallavi and first charanam were too good. Ekkam or thedal bhaavam is the most difficult in my opinion, and you have a gifted voice to convey the feeling. Great going Anbu!
