"Thuligal"- My first original composition
"Thuligal"- My first origin... Lyrics & Chords
My first post for 2012!
“Memories fills her senses as the rain lashes her window panes……”
Presenting “Thuligal” (Raindrops), my first original composition. This short piece is set in the life of a girl, who loves to sit near the window and watch the rain, for hours together…. You will find parts of this piece which are very open to more than one kind of interpretation. I look forward to hearing those interpretations from atleast some or all of you.
I am also thrilled to introduce my friend Balaji TT aka TTB, a very talented lyricist to the blogging world. I believe this marks his first published work :)
Thank you for listening!

Awesome Meera :)! As usual, most of the tamil escaped me – but it’s always a pleasure listening to you do your thing!
Loved the harmonies and good job on the arrangement – instrumentation could have been a little lower so that it didn’t steal away from your voice.
Keep composin ….

Congrats on your first official original composition, Meera. I bet you must have a lot of tunes and ideas wrapped up, but many don’t take fruition for lack of time and gear…
Singing was lovely, loved your harmonies at places, looking for a bit more with more lyrics and range exploration. Track was neat.
Kudos!

Congratulations Meera on your first original composition , a neat one at that! Enjoyed it very much, loved your harmonies! I did feel that the instrumentals were a little more prominent than the vocals at places. Loved the ending bit , very original :)) Kudos and wishing you many more such compositions!

Meera….Kudos….I really liked this composition and singing….also the harmonies were beautifully done….like many others above I too felt that the sound of guitar was a little overwhelming….you might want to reduce the guitar volume a bit and add some reverb to it….everything was great expect for the overall sound arrangement in the mix….liked the sound effect of the door shutting:) Hopefully we will hear more of these.

Well done Meera! :-) Just like what others mentioned, I also would like to hear the guitar volume reduced, a lil bit of reverb and some bass added to the guitar tone and that’s it. Keep them coming!

My interpretation…the mood is set to a rainy day, grey clouds heavy…the girl is indoors…not much to do lol doesn’t feel like doing anything ….I am guessing the girl’s missing a moment she cherished so much…moments that bring ‘memories’;Clouds personifying the heaviness in the heart and rain symbolically the tears she sheds…and she moves on or tries to with the ‘slam of the door?’; or wishes to.
Passa Nan?
