Unimaginable pick of a song for the occasion… But it clearly depicts the adoration, reverence and respect you have, for the Maestro and this tops the list of all-time hits by IR himself… I remember, both his sons, Karthik and Yuvan Shankar mentioning this as their all-time fav from IR in an interview… Such a haunting song masterfully done by IR and SJ… Nice idea to change the lyrics thus bringing this as a female solo to enjoy that ecstasy in singing this… :-) Harmonies – rockers as usual… btw what did Bala tweak in the track?? :P My B’lated birthday wishes to your brother and my greetings to amma/appa…

Good effort in making it into a solo…good effort also in mixing the harmonies etc. But as Kumar Srinivasan mentioned, you have sung it in a way that is less rustic than the original. It can be a point of debate, but that is just your way of presenting the song.

Brave attempt to do it as a female solo meera ! The whole song is based on the feel of it and you have managed it well. Pallavi was beautiful. Some of the impro’ed harmonies were very nice and pleasing to the ears. Orginal laye use pannidhurkalam ! so lovely.

few things that cud’ve been better, delivery of certain words could have been better. Charanams la harmonies didn’t sit well. Intentional attempt to break the flow in the charanams suit agala to the overall mood.

Excellent work this! Loved the raw touch you gave to this song! Awesome modulation!
