Meera: Was waiting for this one. Nicely done and amazing breath control even in the swarams – very nice. The keyboard bits in the track (lazy pitch bend effect??) were a little distracting but you have managed well with that track. Swarams – you have done well. Some places like sa ni da pa ma…would have been nice if it was a little more crisp without the stretch @ da pa ma….for e.g.?

beautiful selection. very nice rendering. unusual off notes here and there , especially in the swaram section. usually u give good modulations and dynamics, but those missing in here unfortunately. totally a very good cover of this tough song, but not your best.

One of Maragathamani’s best ever composition and our chinna kuyil’s singing takes it easily to the all time songs category.

Well, to attempt this song, one need to have the confidence/calibre and before I even I listened, I knew Meera would have attacked it with a power packed performance. So did you Meera. It might have been a roller coaster ride for you but it was as gripping to listen through it too :-). Terrific singing. Dhool Takkar. I’m sure your tongue would have taken a toll lol.

This is definitely the toughest song of Chitra’s till date. Paadariyaen was equally tough too. Why don’t you cover Paadariyaen also or have you already done that ?
