This aint a easy song in the context of expressions……I am happy u tried it boldly but the very beginning you said ra ra…… ( andha amaanushyamaana paithanam suthama illai ) its flat and your vox didnt sit well there rather you sang it more elegantly with lots of nayam. That agaaram part is also not doing any justice to meeras fame. Dhiraj is good as usual in his expression.Tone of dhiraj is very dark. Slightly low in power of the rendition both of you. I mean you both have sang it with elegance which compromised the context of the song to my ears.

this song needs more punch.

Very nice indeed. Good mixing as well. A couple of thoughts: may be Meera’s voice could be a bit more breathy (esp. when singing ra…ra… initially), and Dhiraj, you could probably use a bit more forceful voice and give a bit more body to it in a couple of places (Tanana Dhim… and laka laka…etc. Ending was very good though…) You both have done a great job. Keep it coming. As I heard the amzing rendition of Hindi version of this song by Kuhoo Gupta, just a couple of days ago, I was thinking of this song and wondered when and who might come up with the Telugu song. I couldn’t have asked for a better pair of singers to present the cover version for this song, so beautifully composed by Vidyasagar.

Let me start off by saying I am not a fan of this song, especially coz this is very very bad ripoff of a Mallu classic. But you both happen to be my peeps… so had to comment :)

You both have done a very good job on this.

Meera, I wanted to point out that your voice sounds perfect in terms of depth. So please use the current settings for your future songs. I felt slight pitch problems at 1:11-1:12. Other than that, great job.

Dhiraj – Super performance. Extremely confident singing. Keep it up!

Yet again, a wonderful rendition!

Plus:
- Choice of the song
- Song rendition, especially the gamakam (dhiranana dhiranana… part)
- Mixing of the song (I second Vamsi, you need to tutor us folks on good mixing) :)
- Dhiraj’s voice was amazing! Such an apt one for this song. I should admit that I never got to listen to his numbers. I must check ’em out.

Minus:
- Few pronunciation issues in Telugu: banDham (instead of bandham), ganDham (instead of gandham)

But overall effect was pleasing :) I enjoyed it!

Meera:

1. The initial start is marginally unstable.

2. Excellent akaaram in the middle

3. And to borrow Sindhuja’s jargon. You have discretized the transition of raga at 2:23. It does not matter if the original singer did not have good modulation in that place, but it needs to be little smoother.

4. nalla adichchu azuththi paadu in some more places. You have sung some of the notes light. The line e bandhamo is too light and especially when juxtaposed with Dheeraj’s is even more glaring. Your voice is pretty strong (remember enge enadhu ?), so lightening by singing the syllables in almost a false voice seems to be a misfit.

5. Dheeraj – very well done. Your renditions these days have shed the earlier nasal touch in some of the syllables. Enjoyed !

Nice! It sounds like a softer version of the original. The ending notes of some “raa raa”s sound feeble. The karaoke track could have been EQd – the high-frequencies are missing. In spite of these, your voice and pin point accuracy on scale at though places make me to like this one!

aalap after the first pallavi was excellent…found your voice different (from other songs), but apt for this song (somewhat open throat)….overall ejoyed it….Dhiraj Barla…has an entirely different voice….(heavy in the swaram/jati part and soft while singing)…overall loved it…
