I don’t know much about ragas, but I know that any piece of music, which touches your heart, is great…. Your voice touched my heart… Do I need to say anything else? :)

One day, I wish to understand classical music and some days after that one day, I wish to write at least one classical song… Amen!!

Since the song is more concentrated on the vocal… Overall a perfection venum in every swaram…Plus andha josh illai as in original… Sorry to compare….

Mani Sharma is not the composer of this composition. This composition is a special type of varnam, a padavarnam composed by Muthiah Bhagavathar, used excessively in dance due to the scope of emoting (due to the lyrics) and the rhythmic complexity.

Being very familiar with the classical version, I was very impressed with SR’s rendition of this Khamas classic.

Very impressive rendition, especially of the swarams and jathis. Some phrases and sangathis in the song could be more polished but easier said than done! :P

I completely agree with George above- you should do more such songs! :)
