First of all, thanks a lot for taking up the request. I really appreciate it. Another great performance Meera. You are probably the most original female vocalist on Muziboo. Never afraid to think out of the box. I also want to add that you are probably the best among the female vocalists in mixing.

This had a lot of nice improvs without affecting the essence of the song. This is a song very close to my heart and it was a treat listening to your interpretation. Goes to my favs. 5/5 from me.

Meera, Great job with the song n harmonies n mixing. You made this song completely yours by introducing lot of variations. Generally in ur renditions U seem to like to play around with the rhythm which happened in ur interlude alaap. I liked it.
Ending alaap showed ur sustenance n perfection of swarasthanaanams. And felt your high notes cud have been softer.
Your adaption to the song is stunning at some places. I loved that kuyil sound. Its so pampering.

Hi Meera, I listen to all your uploads, but most times never take the time out to comment.

But this was so brilliant that I had to comment. Never liked the original. Never even intended to listen to this, but for all the positive comments. Is the aalap in the end your improvisation? I don’t remember.

The singer in the original has a very annoying nasal sound. Yours is perfect….

Even though I like this song very much never enjoyed the original voice. But I loved u r voice in this song. Definitely one of my favs.

Pallavi was commendable. You sounded very good in the 2nd charanam. I liked the impro on “un madi meele” before the 2nd charanam. Beautiful sangathis all through the song and of course the harmonies….

The only thing which was a bit odd for me was the stereo widening effect in your voice :) The voice was loud and a little less reverb would also be nice…. :)

I don’t know Tamil but Maargazhi Poovae is one of my favorite Rahman compositions. Have listened to it hundreds of times.

Just came across your cover and was blown away by how well you sang this one. Incredible.

My only comment is around your pronunciation of the word Maargazhi. It seems to me that you stress on the ‘r’ a little more than how it sounds in the original. Again, I’m not a native Tamil speaker so my only comparison is with the original.
