I liked ur singing a lot as usual. U never disappoint us :-) I feel the diction is the only negative here. Its more noticeable because the song has lot of words like “JHumka”, “THumka” etc. Other than that, your singing, expressions were all fabulous! Great work!

singing is fantastic, the energy was missing from the song, AAAJA NACHLE portions has a lot of punch and that what makes the essence of this song….that punch was missing to make it specific……diction is one thing u can improve A LOT…….

expression wise it was perfect in the 2nd antara……good job Meera but could have been much much better, ur last tamil song rocked bigtime……

one place there was timing issues too, which was very surprising……

keep attempting such hindi songs as they will help you in improving ur diction……

Well, with timing of the section i meant with the taal…….check back 3:39 to 3:43 (Aage jake gali pe balkha gayi)….that is what i meant…….i appreciate u trying variations but if they are not done tastefully, they sound odd……that is what i thought in this case……the music directors always create a tune to accommodate certain structures of words, which should be done that way……if you can do it better then feel free to do it but then it should sound smooth…….that way u can make any cover ur own song………Well, i dint feel it that way in ur rendition for 4 secs, but thats my opinion which you have already disagreed……so no worries……keep singing……

Meera …very nice attempt ….you have sung this very well…and also Kudos to stepping out of your regular genre. Sunidhi chawan songs are all about punch ……your expressions were pretty good but will fully agree with AJ on the punch ….and also thought that you reduced the scale by a note ….which probably took some energy of this rendition ….again this is my view ….you dont have to necessarily agree with it;-)

That was an excellent rendition. As per me the energy was quite right. And just felt some words like ‘Jhumka’ , ‘Thumka’ etc., could be said with little punch in them….But considering the overall performance I would ignore these slight points.

Yes meera, AJ and Harshan sir was right! With my very little knowledge on music I also felt the “punch” or “energy level” could have been better.

Instead of 5yr plan, your diction should be in 5months plan. I found that to be only issue in this song. Otherwise, you have sung it beautifully. I hope to be hearing more of hindi songs from you in future. Agree with you 100% on Sunidhi Chauhan – may be you should try some from Chameli, one of the finest works of Sunidhi. ‘Bhaage re Mann’, ‘Bheegi hui’, ‘Sajna ve sajna’,‘jhuki jhuki si sham’ – all these are great tracks, and hearing your rendition, they are right in your alley.

Awesome one! Great choice (haven’t heard the original). You sound completely at ease.
Do try and pay as much attn as possible to the lyrics, coz when a rendition is so perfect on all other grounds (including the “northie” feel- if u know what i mean- u havent made it sound carnatic despite the brighas, which is great!) the shortcoming w.r.t lyrics hurts even more- u know, its like climbing up a mountain almost up to the peak and not reaching it as against being somewhere midway :)
Again, bold choice and you sound so nonchalant. You rock :)

Sorry Meera took me a while to get here, but was pleasantly surprised with this energy filled and very well sung song. I heard this before for sure.

The way you modulated your voice is awesome, it suited the song, will not agree with above that you lacked energy, agree with others on diction, but these things are minor as long as you got the feel and the voice. Great job Meera, goes to my fav*….

All of them are absolutely correct except from a few…. Singing is superb undoubtedly…. n the timming issues in classical singing while singing singers do create their own variations but return to the taal back again in Dha…. So this is absolutely in the laws of singing…. Very very good…. Yes diction wise no hard needed but just practice those typical words before recording them…. It should come good then…. Awsome otherwise….do keep me updated with your latest uploads…. I would love to hear your voive again….
