Summer Night Tune

Summer Night Tune Lyrics & Chords

We were sitting there at home; I was not all alone, playing games on the telephone.
Then we drank a beer or two, started singing like we always do, discussing politics and life, who will you marry, who will be your wife?

Then of course we missed the last bus, it just passed, coming up with something fast.
Any plan we had did fail, failed a ten on a one to ten scale, taking a walk in the summer night.
Then we found ourselves in the town and after a while we went down, down to a place where we heard that sound.
A crowded bar full of bear, my mind wasn’t so clear, can I have another one my dear?

We got a table and a chair and we thought it wasn’t more than fair, and I looked up to see her there.
She joined the table and it felt so right, I touched her shadow as if out of sight, she smiled at me trough the neon light.

Then I went out to see the stars but all I saw was well used cars and people heading to expensive bars.
Then she came out, but not just yet, remember when we first met, I was drunk, smoking a cigarette.

She went home with another guy and I thought it wouldn’t do much to try, just like that, hello goodbye.
I looked up to the summer moon, the moon was whistling a summer night tune, and it was cold in the middle of June.
