Latha ji – You have performed this to the best of your ability. Its very evident here especially your expressions at hindi words. The way you caressed each word was like so mindblowing. Loved your parts absolutely.

Asim Da – A name very famous in blogworld:). Always admire your singing especially KishoreDa’s songs. With that said, I felt a little bit expressions and care at some hindi/urdu words could have lifted your rendition.

Aandhi,a 1975 Indian movie supposedly based on then-prime minister Indira Gandhi’s life, but in reality, it was inspired by Tarkeshwari Sinha, apart from Indira Gandhi.It was directed by Gulzar. The movie is noted for its songs composed by Rahul Dev Burman, written by Gulzar and sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.

The movie was not allowed a full release as the similarity to Mrs Gandhi’s life held it up while she was in power. The film was banned in 1975’s emergency.After her loss in the 1977 elections, the ruling Janata party cleared it and had it premiered on national television.

Asim sahab,first time listening to your voice.Lovely soft voice.Felt that you could have opened up your voice,which could have made your rendition much better and especially in the lines like ‘tum aagaye ho noor aagaya hai in mukhda,’kaha se chale kaha ke liye ye khabar nahin thi magar in antras.Otherwise you did a great job.Goodluck.

Wow……. what a performance!! This truly is a wonderful rendition to me. Both of your vocals are pitch perfect, crystal clear, and soothing to listen to…. The mixing is done so well without it being over powering!! Hat’s off to you guys, I am very impressed with this rendition….as this happens to be one of my favorite duets by the pair and composed by Pancham da. Needless to say, this one goes running to my fav’s collection.

Latha ne na jaane kya-kya likh diya mere baare mein, ye to unka badappan hai, pataa nahin mere jaisa ek mamulii insaan (aur ek bathroom singer) itnii taariif ke qabil hai ya nahin. Asal mein main to unka aabhaarii hoon is gaane mein hissa lene pe raazi hone ke liye. Latha is not just a great singer (and a very patient one too, to put up with my erratic work schedule), but she is a good human being as well….aur ek bahot achhii dost bhi. She has very good knowledge of (and a pair of sharp ears for) Hindusthani music. Thank you Latha for singing this evergreen duet with me. It was a long overdue project, glad it finally came to fruition.

Even before I listened to the post I started smiling since I love all the songs from Andhi …This is one of my most fav duets by Kishoreji and Lathaji……

Other than few diction issues Asim has done a great job and I liked it more because he didnt try to sound like Kishoreji at all…Asim welcome to Muziboo …Keep it up….

Latha’s rendition always sounds sweet…this one wasn’t an exception….
