Never heard this beautiful geet which I think resembles more like a Nazm but is very simple and so brightly written by Jawaid Akhtar Sahab and Latha you gave it your full Ujlapun….crystal clear vocals and so sincere gaeyki. But you did a small boo boo with the lyrics….Lol….why did you sing Dagmag Dagmag when you wrote Jagmag Jagmag? Jagmag was rightly used in lyrics for Stars. Not a big issue the more important was the message that you delivered. Enjoyed it.

Latha I find first impression more lasting than the second. Thanks for sending me the original mp3 and sure it has Dagmag but even if I forget the Dagmag believe me I still like yours better. Present day composers are all about propaganda, sounds and glamour. Lata Ji must have sung what she was asked. But I am a 100% sure that Jagmag Jagmag was correct. I don’t understand why ARR had to approach Lata Ji in the first place for this song, a marketing approach maybe, some other girl could have done much better. We all know Lata Ji had her time, a very good time indeed so let her live in peace and let her enjoy the fruits whose seeds she sow a long time ago. The original to me sounded total glamour only, like a decorated humongous Mazaar….no life.

About Jagmag thing, Though Jagmag should have been the correct usage, I think from a lyricist perspective of Javed Saab, as an experiment Dagmag word was used as an indicator of Steps to Princess’ House like a staircase, this is anyway my cent.
