Only a few directors are quite capable of playing with the emotions of the audience and Director Thangar bachchaan comes under this league of men wielding the mega-phone… ‘Azhagi’ as tagged with the words, ‘film suruLil oru kalvettu’ didn’t fail to spark an under-current in the hearts of the audience even after leaving the cinemas… Any person who had loved someone in his earlier life would definitely live in the spell cast by this movie for atleast a couple of days… Adding to the heavy screen-play came IR’s master-stroke as RR scores… I still remember having swallowed many boluses while watching this movie… :) Now enough is enough… I respect Thangar Bachaan as a writer too…

Awesome song pick, well placed in the movie… The male protagonist lighting up a match stick in a dungeon-like place watches the heroine’s face glowing bright with the flame of the stick and the male voice asks, “OLiyile therivathu dhevadhaya?”… wow… what a sequence!!! Heart-throbbing deployment of voices and tones for a soulful lively tune… This happens to be the first song sung by Singer Karthik for IR and I couldn’t think of any voice other than Bhavatharini’s… Innocence filled voice… And this happened to be my first duet I have sung on stage… :D

Srini aNNa!! Bows for the song pick… Sorry that I am scrutinizing this with a high-definition magnifying glass… Such a dear song, this is!!! Felt shades of melancholy in your singing… The way you started, ‘OLiyile’ might have given that melancholic cue… Rather this should have been delivered with an awe out of excitement/happiness as one gets on seeing his ladylove’s beautiful face very closely… Being a veteran singer you are quite capable of doing it, I very much believe… ‘kovil maNiya’ – maNiya had a subtle shake in the flow… ‘Oru pothum aNaiyaama endRum oLiranum’ – I definitely wanted that to be softer as the hero/lead expresses his implicit emotions driven by adolescence in the movie… Felt this could have been sung tad softer… But these thoughts are genuinely registered as I like this song veryyyyyyyyyy muchhhhhhhhhhhhh… Please pardon my crazy examination… Hugs for this lovely cover…

Latha gaaru!! How old are you actually?? :P Your voice hints me that u should be in your adolescence… Just kidded… Such a voice dipped in sugar syrup carrying that aroma as well… I have always wanted the pronunciation to be perfect and given the contents in the write-up, I did enjoy the variants in the pronunciation… Some notes in the descent could have been perfect and completed… ‘OLiyile therivathu’ wherever it comes got me goosebumps… But ‘Neeyillaya’ should have been softer… wish you had understood the meaning of the lyrics and rendered this… Rest all fine and your voice brushed with emotions has done complete justice to this cover… Way to go!! Now I have penned down a list of tamizh numbers, exclusively for you to cover… Congrats on venturing into tamizh language… Good Luck!!!
