Presenting a beautiful composition Bhanwara badaa nadaan – from the movie Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam !! I Would like to share few words about this movie ! The film is based on a book by Bimal Mitra by the same name’!!!Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam is about love, fear, jealousy, anger, greed, addiction, lust, ignorance, despair, sadness and redemption.!!superb acting by Meena Kumari. Waheeda Rehman & grudutt ! Guru Dutt was a master of his craft!! Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam is excellent in story, writing, execution and acting. The music is sublime, the sets are fantastic, and the movie exemplifies what true cinematographic excellence of those times was. It is shot beautifully, with a background score that enlightens the film’s melancholic mood. The film is quiet, focused and balanced, and has a very subtle feel to it thanks to all these aspects. Abrar Alvi’s direction is superb ( It certainly has the Guru Dutt’s direction stamp!!?)
he captures the atmosphere of those times with great skill, his script is marvelous, and many of his rich dialogues remain memorable even today and are often cited by lovers of Hindi cinema……
Hemant Kumar’s music for the film is great. Shakeel Badayuni wrote fantastic lyrics for the songs, and so every song has a story of its own and comes at the right places fitting the situations. Every song is very much a part of the narration and contributes to the story ….
I really love all the songs from this film !! Between them Geeta Dutt and Asha Bhosle created a universe of pain and romance in Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam. From Geeta Dutt’s Na jaao saiyyan to Asha Bhosle’s Bhanwara badaa nadaan, each number numbs, each songs stuns each note cuts deeply in Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam….
When we listen to Hemant Kumar’s songs, we relive the most cherished and choicest moments from our film music. ….
This is Undoutedly one of the best solo & One of the best songs by Asha Bhosle !! Here goes my humble attempt of this classic !!

Noticed some Telugu accents (in “Hai”, for example). But that’s being nitpicky.
Try “Neela Aasmaan So Gaya” next, if you would please. A totally different mood, but I think it would sound very good in your voice.

coming here straight after listening to a lorie, and it is difficult to believe someone who innocently sang ‘dheere se ajaa’ and turn as natkhat as this! i think this is simply one of your best efforts.
