I have a great passion for music, especailly for old film songs both Hindi and Tamil (belong to Tamilnadu). The place I work is Thiruvananthapuram HQ of Kerala State. I first rendered a song in 5th standard ( a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya) for a school competition and that fetched me the 1st prize in Juniors. Since then I have participated in all music competitions and won prizes at school levels. Well, I could not learn the Shaasthriya Sangeetham ( Tradional Music). At Trivandrum for the last 8 years we run a club called ‘SREERAAGAM- The Music Family’. Once in a month we meet and sing old film songs, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil with 5 piece orchestra. Other than that I was asked to render a song in one of the ONAM programmes which titled “Evar Paadunnu” means these people too sing. Those who sang in that programme were in different segement of profession and not professionals in music. And I work with a leading English newspaper here in Trivandrum as its Regional GM. I have also judged a couple of music programmes and rendered a radio gingle in Tamil for promting Cardamom by the Spices Board. A couple of dubbings for Tamil ads in radio too has been done by me.
