I am not IMPRESSED with this, just sounding Ordinary.
Seen and heard better compositions than this.

Voice …. God given …. Good but not Excellent.
Expressions …. Good – Could make it better.
Only the positive attribute is your pronunciation and that too because you are a native Hindi speaker.

You have to work a long way to attain perfection for the film land if you are serious.
I do keep watching lot of Indian and American Idols and there are many in the India with exceptional Voice and singing but they don’t reveal their talents that is all.

Legends are always legends -
The simplicity and dedication they carry is notable and people would not mind giving their lives for them.
BGM …… 50% Can’t say it was Extremely Good.
Fairly done and i would rate this song 60/100.

The composition may be ordinary, the singing may be crass, but reading your profile and about looking for good music, I am surprised you actually commented on Kuhoo’s voice based on this one song. And you actually compared it to shows like Indian Idol / American Idol. If anything, that shows me your class for now.

No human being is perfect and hence no art is perfect. Some search for perfection. Some are happy as they are. Art is for calming the soul, to relax and let go. It’s not an exam or like a sports event where you can measure who was first and who was second. The effect of music is totally subjective….some can be moved and some can be irritated by the same music. Recently I was part of an experiment where convicts were subjected to classical music in the jail. Many complained that it was causing high irritability. The reason was THEY NEVER WERE USED TO IT. They found ordinary film music to be more calming. Does this mean that either of the two forms of music was bad or could be rated better of the two? In a world of convicts ordinary music is supreme. Can you imagine a rock show in Madras Music Academy? Many carnatic music purists would even die of an attack thinking about it! And age does not make one an authority on anything. The will to admit that you are still a learner always keeps one young at heart. Even a small boy can teach an 80 year old. The learning process never dies. It only dies with our death. In muziboo, there are pros and toddlers alike, but every one learns from every one else. No form of music is supreme over another. When we shed our ego and open our mind, we learn to accept every form of music. Every one…. the farmer, the teacher, the beggar, the soldier, the millionaire enjoys music that appeals to his/her ears alike. Music did not have any science when it started. When science was incorporated, it acquired a pattern and this created a programmed mind in us making us think only in the way we have heard or learnt it. This mars our basic instinct to enjoy simple things. Anything perfect would be boring. The moon is beautiful as it is not perfect!
This composition with all its minor flaws has soothed my mind. When I start comparing, I lose the aim for which it was created…….to make me happy. I have become happier hearing this song and thus the purpose is served.I personally feel that any talented musician learns the best by self assessment and experience. Good ears and sense of judgement is an inborn talent and those who lack it will not grow just on constant appraisal. So lets judge only when some one asks for it. But if some one does wants a review, we should speak with sincerity even if that may not sooth the asker. The asker also should be aware of it. Otherwise hear, enjoy or let go :)
Recently I found that some ignorant person has resorted to wildly pulling down ratings of every singer(as if to teach a lesson) and is on a mad rampage! Does not that look childish? The doer forgets that along with ratings there are many who have favorited that song. And the doer should know that no body including the doer can pull that down! This also proves how stupid the rating system algorithm is! If a song that was rated 5/5 by 50 people gets a 1/5 from a single person, it vanishes from the ratings as a whole! And a song rated 5/5 just by 16 persons tops the list! This means that only if a song is rated 5/5 by every voter it stays on the charts. This is absurd! It’s time the site owners removed it as a whole or corrected the algorithm.

But Kuhoo about Nancy’s comments I think because she like your voice and she is expecting much better performance from you which you can do.
