Wow, I remember the movie Hero, which ran for more than a year in chennai :). I don’t remember the song though but its always a delight to hear Kuhoo singing. I believe you’ve changed your voice a bit to get that little tough nature but it worked. You are a genius singer and the best in the community, according to me :). The whole mix(great work Nitin), song, voice – everything was superb. I’ve to say that there were a few off pitches(NOT in your singing) in the music itself, which was a little odd. Particularly where the flute portion starts in the interlude.

Overall, I started off the day with a great song, sung by a voice that I always love to hear.

Sang it well Kuhoo…. liked it in your voice as well though the touch of banjaran’s voice was missing…. and since Reshmaan was from the rural part of Thhar (Pakistan) where the gypsies settle and make their livings…. singing at night is their normal routine…. and when the voice pierce the silence at night, the listeners just sink in to the magic…. anyhow your effort was wonderful. Really appreciate your intention to deliberately widen from your original tone. And the best part to me was that, you maintained your nasal and raw throw throughout the song with extreme ease. That kind of consistency is pretty difficult to achieve, and am very impressed! :)) Wow!

To those who commented on the track – thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify that I did not actually re-arrange the track. Since a karaoke was not available anywhere and voice suppression on the original didn’t work, I have taken bits and pieces from the original mp3 itself to create this one and provide a clean backing track for the voice. The interludes etc have been left untouched (except for some compression).
As for Kuhoo’s singing – well, it’s all been said :)

Great Rendition as usual….however I would differ from what you said about Reshma’s voice. I dont think she had a nasal voice.She has a kind of depth in her voice which I dont hear in any of the singers’ voice other than a few like Lataji, Ashaji, Alka Yagnik, and Alisha Chinoy….

Can’t help myself comparing the original and yours. Yours was not better than original but was a very good attempt. The original is mindblowing and I think no one can sing this song as well as Reshmaji did. Its a tough song and singers gets challenged in such songs. Some places could be better, especially the ending of lines.

Overall, one of the best covers on this forum. Good work Nitin too:)
