I like your voice in this song.Everything is perfect,sung wirh great sensibility and power.However you have to give attention at high pitches-they are a little too open for western singing(here we learn to put the voice up,in nose,keeping the throat open )You are a powerfull,great singer already!Keep us delighted!

Not many even dare to cover Mariah. So first off congrats on that. With regards to your rendition, I want to break it up into singing and diction:

Singing – I thought you sang very well, expressions were very good. Definitely second Ibolya about the high pitch parts. Needs work as it sounded nasaly at certain points. Overally it was very good.

Diction – I thought this needed a lot of work. Lyrics were not clear and at points way too muffled. I think thats what you need to focus on in future english covers.

With that said, a very good jo overall.

Kuhoo ….I should congratulate you for attempting something different. I really enjoyed your rendition ….but not many can come out with their normal genre and perform like the way you did. Improvement areas are covered upstairs ….I am sure the more you do eng covers …you will come in terms with its style ….not a big deal for an artiste of your calibre.

Kuhoo, quite a nice attempt…. a different flavour after your other renditions…. Yours is the only rendition of this song that I am listenin to after Neha’s…… and here, you did put in your best here i felt…. but as for a Western number, you will need to work a bit more on a few things… (1) the smooth flow of the notes – at times, the transitions from one note to the other are very marked, (2) the high pitches (as already mentioned by Ibolya & George) – they didnt quite seem to blend properly, (3) removing the indian-ness, or the eastern influence…. for instance, the parts beyond 2:45 till a long time, sound very very indian…. and finally (4) diction – which, even though at 4, is equally important as any other factor when singing a song….
you are a really good singer and hence i thought i should mention these to you…. try and re-do this sometime when possible and re-upload… :-)

Kuhoo, what amazing voice control! I have hardly come across singers of your caliber!
Your rendition was simply fantab, the modulations and the way you started was superb, however I felt the mods were a bit overdone as the song progressed… Also, considering the fact that this song reeeealy goes high, one needs to make sure that even the high notes sound sweet to the ears (as pointed out by a few above)… also, the lower notes need to be rendered with a soft airy voice (eg. the few concluding lines) to give the whole song a sugary feel…

Technically I would give your singing a 10/10… Spl mention to the ‘in time’ part (3:08 to 3:10) it was awesome…! And I am sure it is a cakewalk for you to pick up the pointers mentioned above and redo this song to perfection… :)

Kuhoo, for me it is enough that you had the heart and the will to say that I will try and give it a shot! This spirit is what many of the singers do not have. Many stay within their cocoon singing old songs or only new songs or even say for a style that, I hate rock, I hate pop and I like only classical and this is not my cup of tea and so on. In music, there is only one thing; good or bad! Rest is all to cover up ignorance, lack of interest, laziness and due to the mental block that others and yourself have put upon you.
I would advise every singer to listen to every genre and learn to appreciate and sing every form of music. Then only do we develop into a true musician. Wonderful effort Kuhoo! All the flaws/improvements needed have been already covered by experienced muziboons here. The more you sing and recognize your flaws the more you will improve upon them, in the future. But the will and fire to explore the unexplored should remain as long as we all sing!

This is a very very difficult song, even for a woman. But you were up to the task. Keep it up!!

Good, u have been correctly christened KUHOO. Suits u. But in this song, the diction was that mattered a lot. Hope u do understand. Still good. Keep it up. I feel ur genre is Hindi or bollywood to b very precise. English songs i feel may not be ur cup of tea but a good attempt. I suppose if u went for western vocal training then the glicthes cud be overcome.
