Presenting a soulful melody composed by IR from the Malayalam movie, Pumudhapadiyil Ninneyum Kaathu. The song has the IR touch written all over it and was originally sung by KJY with humming by S. Janaki.
I want to thank Radhika for singing the humming portions. I have tried some variations from the original in a few places.

Kumar, Usually i am not exposed to malayalam songs a lot ! but as you said this has IR written all over so couldn’t resist commenting :D Very well done. since i ve heard other renditions of yours, i can see the efoort to adapt KJY and it has come out vey well. Beautiful song, Kumar and lovely rendition in your mellow dulcet voice. Nice humming from Radhika. This sounded like a tough song since it has so many notes and syllables to pronounce and yet is so very flowy….

Kumar, a lovely melody recaptured with all its beauty. Your voice was outstanding.Radhika has supported well with her humming. But somehow I felt the humming stood apart and did not merge with the rest of the song-a problem of mixing. The song was anyway enjoyable. Congrats to both of you.

One of those immortal melodies in Malayalam by the great IR sir! I used to crave to hear this song during my college days, when I only could hear this song on TV occassionally and never missed a chance to watch it any time! :) Such is the soothing feel IR sir has given this song! It has IR written all over it as u mentioned! :)
Kumar… You have sung this song with a lot of feel and expressions! Loved the places in the anupallavi and charanam, like “Poo Paadangal Thedum….” which were rendered very well and with tht required flow! Never an easy song to sing at all… Now if I nitpick, just a very few things which I was able to find… One is in the Anupallavi and charanam, the first line of both reaches a pretty high note… I guess you just stopped yourself from reaching tht note… Second, was a very slight shiver in your voice which was very evident in a few places… Also the line “Alasam Alasamaayi” was sung in a slightly diff way than the original… But then what you sung was definitely not wrong… I guess tht must have been a slight improvisation from you… These small things apart, I just loved the soothing rendition by you!
Radhika…. You add the remaining beauty to the song that it needed! You have a very nice voice! Loved your the support you gave Kumar throughout this lovely song, making it all the more lovely! :D
