Kumar…nice to see you back. Not really familiar with this ghazal, but loved your rendition. Great diction…looks like Azam made you work hard except for 2.47 is it uth or utt …not familiar with the lyrics….loved all your harkats and effortless singing. If I may suggest….a little voice dynamics, with proper distribution of weight …will enhance this rendition to a different level….superb singing !!! LOVED IT AND GOES to my favs !!

Thanks Latha, yes, was great to have Azam’s guidance on this. Will certainly attempt Mujhe phir wohi yaad, also one of my favorites and know fully well about the tricky notes on that one. Will have to work on getting a track.

Kumar, one of your best till date – suited your voice texture to the T and you brought in the Hariharan touch quite well in many places.

I couldnt pick on anything much – but since you asked for crit , i pulled out my lens and -
The first lines of the first 2 charanams can be further refined. The last chale rapid was just WOW. Thought the previous ones werent as clear or maybe it was my ears.

Great job by Azam too. Though I have Urdu-deaf ears – thought you got it right.

Nice ghazal, and very neat rendition, Kumar. Have missed listening to this original by Hariji. Diction was really neat, and your voice, recording and track was superb! Taal tonal quality is so important when singing these ghazals. May bug you for some ghazal k-tracks.

Bold attempt once again Kumar. Need a certain level of confidence to attempt such numbers. Did well in most of the places. Only drawback I could see is your voice quivering at certain points which slightly distracted me from the mood of the song. Also in the mix your voice is a bit bright, unlike the original. Dont know how to fix it though.

Listening second Hariharan ghazal from you today. Your voice is made for ghazal singing. Soft and crisp both at the same time. Confident singing. Very much appreciable considering Urdu is not your language and yet you sounded so good. Enjoyed it Kumar though I was hearing it for the first time.
