Kelee Nalinam - Salil Chowd... Lyrics & Chords
Sai K had requested me to sing some retro malayalam songs. This is one of my favorite songs from yesteryears composed by the crafty Salil Chowdhary and sung delectably by KJY. The song is from the movie Thulavarsham.
The song has many twists, turns and drops typical of Salilda’s compositions. It also has the unique song structure where he gives us a delightful bonus section in the second antara. This structure is seen in many of his songs for e.g. O’Sajna (Aisi rimjim….).
The K-track had some slight timing issues and I have done my best to work around it.
Look forward to everyone’s feedback on my humble attempt at this melody.

Very good job …A very nostalgic song reminding about the young Sreedevi(this probably was her first movie – at least in Malayalam as they had mentioned “Introducing Sreedfevi” in the titles). Good singing with lovely expressions too. Just felt the sangati ‘VREELA vathi’ could have been better…

Dear Srinivasan, Nice selection and excellently sung. You have scored over the track. Salida’s songs have unexpected curves and turns which has to be carefully negotiated. There are a few spots where you ould have tried to achieve better perfection. Full marks for your sweet and expressive voice!
