Karthik – Your voice & clarity of words are great, just like the original and lovely singing ofcoz. thr was slight off in sec charnam n mixing sounded very good in the pallavi compared to charanams.

Hmmm…….Fantastic choice, first of all!
I have always felt that Sriram P outshone Sadhana in this one and also that her portions aren’t as enthralling as Sriram’s- my personal view.

The sangathi @ 0:55 was just brilliant.

A slight off @ 1:07 and same note all the way. You got it right @ 0:43 though. Nothing major or nothing YOU cannot correct.

Ahaaa…. what a song to pick? :=D

Karthik— very nice overall, some subtle brighas ( like when you finish the pallavi for instance) thought could have been better. Sorry to nitpick, but then you are generally very good at subtleties :)

Sindhuja— Nicely done as well, but the end of the charanam @ 2.19ish could have been a little smoother I thought :) Higher registers sound a little strained….

Mixing could have been a little brighter IMO.

However all that said, it’s an awesome song and these are just nitpicks since you both are stellar singers :) Kudos…. and congratulations on completing 3 years of audioblogging Sindhuja!

This is a melodious song and you have sung very well. I enjoyed listening to it. I like songs rendered with a good clarity of words and yours was one. When I listened to the track, I really liked how the guitar has been used in this song.

Karthik: kaNNE was very nicely done. The variations/improvisations were good. You have a natural gifted voice. I think in charanam, I felt that one place was slightly rushed – right before poo vAsam begins but didn’t spoil the rendition in any way.

Sindhuja:
Very nice. Kaadhal endrum ulladhu or some such line in charanam was superb.

Keep giving us more melodious songs like this.

If I were to shut my inquisitive ears for a moment, I would claim your rendition as flawless just for the sheer magic of your tone and the way you caress the syllables. However, even while one is drunk with all the senses out of action, ears are supposed to remain active. That is why, a friend musingly explained to me that we say “cheers” (to the ears) over a drink.

Hence, the rendition is beautiful but not flawless. There are marginal slips which ideally, if a recording engineer were sitting in a studio and monitoring your recording, would easily make you do a retake for some portions and rectify. Anyway, I enjoyed it nevertheless.

Sustenance in the only issue. Excellent otherwise.
