Oru Dhinam - Original Compo... Lyrics & Chords
This is my first collaboration with Raj(as a singer) for my composition. It was wonderful working with Raj, who we all know is a terrific singer with a great voice and is a very talented singer. Infact the song’s total idea and inspiration came from one single photo of Raj :-). The inspirational photo can be found at the link below :-)

The moment I saw the snap, I wanted to do a solo love failure song and I mentioned this to Raj too :-). That’s the small story behing the making of this song lol.
The lyric idea came from a usual Indian cinema dialogue(spoken by the girl) : “I don’t love you anymore but let us be friends”.
Hope you guys like our song. Please do pass on your valuable comments folks.
P.S – A small recommendation. If you feel the song is very sad, please do have a towel while listening, so you can wipe out your tears :-).

Kitcha—liked the backing leads and the note progressions (in the 1st interlude specifically). Personally, thought the prelude was a little long but it might just be a personal preference :) Liked the use of dholak/equiv in the charanam to bring a certain feel… Humming was suddenly peaking up in volume, you might want to recheck that as well.
Raj—Is this your first original? Don’t r’ber! If yes, congratulations! Charanams were very well done, you brought the feel of a jilted lover out very well-voice had the pain, disappointment, and memories written all over it!
Your voice also seemed markedly diff in the charanams when compared to the pallavi, maybe different takes? Also, thought the pallavi was a little too low scaled for you (possibly why it was a little flat at places), felt you were a little doubtful when you sang the lines leading to the lowest note(s). You seemed a little more comfortable when you finished with the pallavi @ the end… Nonetheless, just nitpicks so you can r’ber these for your future originals :)

Raj, Very nice singing, but somehow this is not your best. A bit tentative and as Meera observed, this is not your comfort scale. Still, it was so enjoyable to listen to you.

Like the arrangement Kitcha…. Nice composition !! Not sure what each line means…. but could feel the pain you portrayed here….
Raj sang it very well emoting qualitatively each line…. Low notes were bit flat at times….
