This song is from the movie Singaravelan, acted by kamal hasan. The song is about Kamal and his friends teasing the heroine (Kushboo) :) SPB is meant for showing so many variations in his singing and this song perfectly suited him to show all his funny nuances :)
The song has chorus and solo portions. I’ve done both. It was tough to bring out all the freak out nuances of SPB but I’ve tried it out. Hoping to get some comments :)

Great pick, Kitcha! You were good in the 2nakkal2 places too. The vocal volume seemed quite low- maybe just my system?!! Shruthi slips quite evident (Eg.1:08 to 1:22, 2:36).
Innum boldaa paadinaa oru attitude-oda nallaa irukkum. Also those sangathis need to be polished a lot. :)

Aditi, thanks for your comments and pointing out the areas of mistake. About the Shruti slips you mentioned, i felt it to be very subtle only. not sure if you felt it very different though. I could hear the vocal volume well. Infact I heard it in my head phone and thought it sounded ok :)

you probably could also try to mix without headphones. for some reason, songs seem different in headphones and on speakers. any song that sounds good on speakers will sound awesome on headphones but not vice versa……just my two cents.

Nice gutsy number and enjoyed the spirit of the song.
You sounded nasal and didn’t come across as a good recording considering you have ProTools etc. You were also pretty pitchy in some places which took away the charm a bit. Your voice conveyed the spirit but needs more practice to deliver more perfectly.
