I can speak songs, but can never sing a song.
My primary love is Hindustani Classical Music. I am a big fan of A R Rahman.
My favorite singers are Bhimsen Joshi (I get goose bumps everytime), Jasraj, C R Vyas (for his simplicity), Mansoor (flows like a river), Kishori Amonkar. I love Hindustani intrumentals, and favorite is Vishwa Mohan Bhat and Zakir Hussain.
In film music, I like Rafi, Lata, Mukesh, Kishore kumar, Mannadey, Hemanth kumar, P B Shrinivas, SPB, and of late Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam.
My favorite film musicians are Shankar Jaikishen, C Ramachandran, Mdan Mohan, Khayyam, Salil CHowdary, Laxmikanth Pyarelal, S D Burman, R D Burman, Naushad, G K Venkatesh, Rajan Nagendra, M Rangarao, Ilayaraja, and of late Shankar Ishaan Loy.
Few of my favorite movie music albums include Meera (music Pandit Ravishankar), Sardari Begum (music Vanraj Bhatia), Umrao Jaan (music Khayyam), Bazaar (music Khayyam), Duet (music A R Rahman), Baiju Bawra (music Naushad), Moghal-e-Azam (music Naushad), Anarkali (music C Ramachandran), malaya maaruta (music Vijaybhaskar), Mysore mallige (music C Ashwath).
I love devotional music and my favorite singer is Bhimsen Joshi. I love all his Kannada devotional songs. My favorite devotional albums are Meera (music Hrudaynath Mangeshkar, sung by Lata), Raam ratan dhan payo (Lata), and Raam shyaam gun gaan (Bhimsen joshi and Lata). I also love Ghazals, and my favorite is Jagjeet SIngh. I also love Kannada light music.
I also regularly follow many music shows of Indian Channels.
