Bio

I am one of those people who is blessed to have been born in a musical family, but who never really appreciated it. My grandma who was a singer and composer had a profound musical influence on me next only to my sister who is also a singer blessed with a soulful voice. I always enjoyed singing with them, but never really took the time or effort to learn and improve.

Once I spread my wings and left home, I started dabbling with music independently by being a part of my college music band – Tech Music. The greatest impetus to my music happened when I moved here to the bay area. We formed our Band – Thillana in the year 2000- its been a musical journey ever since. I regularly perform in stage-shows and have sung for a couple of albums and a movie.

But like always, I prioritized exotic vacations, running marathons, counting electrons and millions of other things over music. This audio blog is my humble attempt to make-up for all the “injustice” that I have thrown at my music thus far………:-) I owe my inspiration to my audio blogging friends Meera and Mux.

I intend for this to be a self-improvement exercise besides keeping me accountable to my resolve. As I embark on this journey, please do provide me with your candid feedback.
