Here is a song after a short break. This song, Nilaa Kaaigiradhu from Tamil movie Indira, is one of my top favorites and comes from the wonderful combo of A R Rahman and Hariharan. Maneesha CM, who is a Muziboo member, had requested me to sing this song sometimes back and I remembered it when I saw a YouTube video of Hariji singing this song. So here is my try as an unplugged version.

A proud sunflower submitting its lullaby to the fondling ‘thendral kaatru’, complemented by a gentle sheet of waterfall droning away in the background … was the picture that was evoked when listening to you Jo!. Time was no bar (no pun intended) and the tune was guided through your musical path in your own inimitable way.
A very soothing rendition Jo in a voice that prefers to wear its honey dress and coating the ears of many a music fan with your musical vibe.
On the flipside, some words were amiss:
“Naanum mannum (I and earth) nammai vaazha cholli ….”. rather it is “Vaanum mannum” (sky and earth). Most of your nuances / sangathis were very pleasing and apt for your voice and well done. However, “…jeevaney povadhey!” did not seem to hold its course and the “Aaaa…vaanum mannum nammai….” could have been better held for a crisper outcome.
Overall very well done on this ever favourite gem to all!.
By the way I do not rate any song I comment on usually, as I feel there are better ways to give feedback. Also, I do not wish to subject music to the clinic of statistics!. Of course in the event of competition we need the yardstick but not so here I feel.

chetta the sruthi in the tambura and the singing is not in sync.the original pitch is “d” and the song is to b sung in “d” scale’s madyamam or which evr scale u prefer and that scale’s madhyamam has to b considered.sorry if i’m wrong chetta.otherwise good one

It is nice to hear this song in male voice. Only small correction, in the 1st stansa the lyric is, VAANUM MANNUM NAMMAI VAAZTHUM (its not naanum mannum ennai vaaztthum).
