Poet Sivakumar Ambalappuzha had posted a few lines of poetry in his Facebook page and asked if anyone would compose a tune for it. I was just about to get to bed after recording my Onam song when I saw this message. His lines were so beautiful and the music had to flow. That’s how this short piece was born. I had a quickie 10 minutes long composing and recording session. The song is incomplete, it’s only a couple of lines and if Sivakumar wills, we will probably make this a complete song soon. Here it is anyways, for you to listen.

That was superb composition and great singing as always in your awesome voice…Loved it…Slight pointer for improvement I can suggest is the clarity that is needed in your base notes. With such lovely voice you have with little more practice you can be perfect in the lower notes… I do understand this is spot recording late at night , I am suggesting this so that you will take care when recording the final one…Hope you will take it in the right spirit…

Hello sir, long time! Thanks for the comments and for the pointers. I still need to get a sound card and learn how to master new recording softwares. But I am waiting to buy a new laptop first and then hopefully can do a better job with mixing. Thank you for taking your time to point out this! I appreciate it.

Nice one Jo … would have loved to hear it articulated with some kind of rhythm pattern. However, I think you have a nice melody that you can further work on to make a full song. Lots of potential for nice Indian instruments to kick in and embellish your tune. Good luck, you should feel proud of it!.
