Jimmy Valentine is from Chicago…you can really hear the influence of the city in his guitar playing…. * jimmy Valentine got his first music lesson at the age of seven years old from rock and roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis…. * when jimmy valentine was 13 years old he got a couple intense music theory lessons from jazz legend Maynord Fergeson…. * jimmy Valentine studied music with legendary chicago saxaphonist Ivan Lasso for 15 years…. * jimmy was lucky to have grown up in studios and theaters in chicago, where he got to learn music from many legendary and world class artists…. * jimmy Valentine records his music spot on live first take….improvised from beginning to end his songs do not exist before he records them…. * since 2006 jimmy Valentine has recorded 3 full length cd’s and 5 ep’s for the virtually unknown Strange Measure Music…. * in 2007 jimmy Valentine played the world famous Rainbow bar and grill in hollywood 2 times!!! * jimmy Valentine was hired as musical director and guitar player by the legendary Sky Sunlight Saxon of the SEEDS to headline the GOODSTOCK 2007 music festival…. * three time olympic gold medalist Aaron Piersol used the song “brenda” by jimmy Valentine for his new dvd…… * in his 20’s jimmy Valentine played 3 years with the Wolfpack guitar ensamble, a guitar orchestra,out of over 200 players at the auditions for 18 seats for all 3 years jimmy Valentine earned 1st chair status…. * jimmy Valentine recently placed 1 in the midwest region in the ourstage.com music contest with the “sing a happy song” a song he wrote for his son….
