Aahir Bhairav raag seems to be a very exotic Hindustani raag. Love this masterpeiece by Seerkazhi Govindarajan sir.

The picturization of this song is the climax of the movie Karnan, adapted from the Mahabarat war. Karna is defeated unjustly by Arjuna, and is laying severely wounded. Lord Krishna walks up to the dying Karna singing his elegy.

The song’s deep lyrics are from the maestro lyricist & writer Kannadasan sir. Very touching picturization, with Karna being played by Padmashree Sivaji Ganesan sir, and Krishna being played by the one and only N.T. Rama Rao from the Telugu industry.

In Mahabharatha The only character I love the most is karna. In fact, I hate Kunti (for so many reasons) Arjuna&Krishna for killing Karna. thanks for remidning me such great film.
