Poonkaatru Thirumbumaa? (Tamil) Hemanth's duet with Hamsa's track
Poonkaatru Thirumbumaa? (Ta... Lyrics & Chords
2011 Nov 27 Cover -
Been having withdrawal symptoms from not covering one of Hamsa’s awesome duets for a while now…. So attempted this S Janaki madam & Malaysia Vasudevan sir superhit….
Hamsa, many thanks for your fabulous work. For some reason, when I tweaked the track settings to optimize on the instruments part, your vocals seem to have been subdued a tiny fraction. Hope not too noticeable….
This is a sentimental song about a village landlord who suffers from an abusive and deranging wife…. He sings out this pathos while walking in his fields, while the menial new entrant to the village counter-sings anonymously, trying to cheer him up…. She knows the landlord is singing, and is aware of his trauma too, but he doesn’t know who is singing along. The song ends when they meet, very much to the landlord’s surprise :-) !
This song seems to be the same base raagam as yet another Sivaji Ganesan sir evergreen…. “Malardum Malaradha”….
Many thanks and kind regards,
Hemanth

Hamsa is our fellow Muzibooan…. my co-singer in all my duets here so far, and is my mentor too :-) ! She is in a way like you :-), very talented, yet equally humble and sharing….
Many thanks & kind regards,

Sorry to be late Hemanth…
Excellent song and your performance is simply awesome. Hamsa’s controlled and sweet voice aptly matches with yours, especially taking into account the mood and feel of this song particularly.
What meaningful words of the poet Vairamuthu in colloquial Tamizh!
Liked it a lot…

Giri.
