If I have the opportunity I will try to be the first one here. I adore this song to the core….a lovely lovely brother sister relationship song. Hemant you are loud, clear and bold in this one. You showed that graceful elderly brother’s support to the young sister. To Fav….direct.

Hemanth bro……I am sure every music lover would love this song….beautiful lyrics and the guru kishoreda’s rendition. When we hear the original ….we feel its an easy song….but really not…lol. That was the greatness of kishoreda….he made singing sound so easy:) Also for some reason when ever I hear this song, my heart aches for the 70s….its very nostalgic.
I really liked your rendition….very sincere take….liked it very much. Diction is also improving ….:)

Dear Naqvi guru ji, Tahir, Harshan, & Jivan bros :-) ! Heartfelt thank you for all your encouragement and guidance….!!
Naqvi ji,
It is turning out that when I sing Kishore da songs, I seem to keep your singing more in mind than Kishore da’s original ;-) ! Many thanks, and yes I tried singing boldly, as you once recommended (strongly) of how to go about rendering Kishore da numbers :-) !
Correct about the sibling connection / emotion as well, guru-ji :-) !
Tahir Bro,
You are too kind. It is my honor to associate with a talent and tasteful artist like you. warm regards….
Harshan Bro,
You are so absolutely correct about how Kishore da makes his song seem so simple and seamless, but in reality there are infinite challenges to try and cover them decently :-) ! Many thanks for noticing my efforts on the diction part. I am now making it a clear point to put some serious effort on this front. As Naqvi ji had pointed out in the forum, even all time legends like our Lata Mangeshkar ji had to work hard to perfect her Hindi diction, being a Marathi herself…. Many thanks mate !!
Jivan bro,
I can truly relate to your feelings…. It is indeed a divine relationship, that is, if it works out well ;-) !
On the “vocal volume” part, Naqvi ji was actually complimenting my singing boldly and open-throated. He had advised me in the past that one should never shy even a little bit, when attempting Kishore Da song….
Nevertheless, I get your point too. A tiny bit lower volume on my vocals would certainly have added a lot more feel to the sadness of the song.
Thank you for sharing your appreciation, and your affinity for this evergreen number. Coincidentally, there are too many “Jivans” in this song :-) !!
Kind regards to all, and let’s look forward to a musically enriching weekend world-wide :-) !
Sincerely,
Hemanth

The vocal volume is a bit loud as pointed above except that mixing is lot better. Also, no pointers on diction. You are getting there fast :)

Hemanth… I like to echo the same sentiments given above by Harshan and others above… This song is so beautiful that makes me reminiscing about my younger days and this is one of those very few Hindi songs that still remains in my nostalgia.
You have sung it with a lot of feel in your engrossing voice.
Kind regards,

Jivan, Adwait, & Sojan bros, thanks for pointing out the “too much volume in the mix”. I didn’t realize it much, when Jivan bro commented yesterday. However, when I listened today after a long break :-), the cover was indeed sounding awefully loud.
I have now used Audacity to lower the loudness by lowering the gain. Hope it is sounding decent now.
Thanks for your invaluable feedback….
Kind regards,

Thanks for stopping by and for your valuable feedback and encouragement. I am happy that the pick and my effort made you reminisce some good old days :-) !
Thanks for noticing my efforts on the diction part too. I will continue doing that on an ongoing basis.
Today, I have reduced the gain and re-uploaded, and it should hopefully be better now.
Have a great Sunday, you all :-) !
Warm regards,

Hi hem…. sorry for the delayed response!!
The initial humming was really good! Felt very minor pitch and pace issues here and there. But, you have maintained the overall mood very well. As pointed out by Harshan, this song appears easy to sing but is actually difficult. I’ve tried it myself long time back and was pathetic :)
Looking forward for many more from you!
Cheers!!
