Dear Friends, thank you so much for your encouragement and feedback. I completely agree with Chandran ji & Deep bro’s feedback…. The first recording did sound a little too full-throated, and the start line was a little shaky. I can’t do much about the start line, but I reduced the gain by 2 points, and used this feature called “normalise” in Audacity and have reloaded just now. Hope it is bit more presentable this time. Sorry for the reload….

Hemanth your vocals and presentation is very good in this song. The song started as fluently as it should & expected and continued all along. Other thing I liked was the power, clarity and color in your voice.
On Normalization: You were lucky to have minimum noise in your recording. Hence noise did not show prominently, but that was only because of the nature of this high contrast track. Had the track been mellow the noise in your system would have become more visible. Normalization is the worst you can do to audio. While increasing the overall amplitude it amplifies the noise too. Better use compressor instead, it will only amplify audio from a set low threshold to wherever you want it amplified, leaving behind the noise which does not gets amplified because the noise level is generally much below the low threshold.

Well Hemanth bhai…. since I’ve listened to your other uploads I can easily say that this one isn’t your good one. At many places you’re not felt confident…. also some shakiness…. I guess this is all because of the tempo that is slow than the original. Thus it has killed a lot of features and nuances that might have come in had the tempo been per the original. Anyhow you did your best in it. I’d suggest you increase the tempo a bit making it like original and then try it over whenever you get time. I’m sure you’ll be impressed with the results yourself. Anyhow key is that you keep singing and sharing bro.

As per your feedback the “normalise” option seems to be exactly opposite of what I was intending to :-) !
Based on Chandran ji’s feedback and my own assessment subsequently, I felt that my first-take was a bit too much amplitude / open-throated. Therefore, I was trying to subdue my vocals by some software magic….
When I experimented reducing the gain, it seemed to help. When I further experimented the “normalize” option, it also seemed to help by subduing the vocals a bit. Maybe I was just imagining the efficacy :-) !
I do need to do some homework on the use of “compression” technique. It seems to be widely used to improve recording quality. From your explanation, it seems to be used to increase the vocal amplitude if the original vocal recording is a bit subdued for some reason. i.e. again the reverse of what I was trying to accomplish for this upload….

I am not too sure about the tempo part, as this track did almost sound the same speed as the original. Maybe I should listen to the orig and the track more keenly for a better comparison….
I however absolutely agree with you on the ample room for improvements in my rendering :-) ! The track pitch was a bit too high for me, especially when I am just coming out of a nasty cold/infection. Maybe I rushed this one in, so as to not lose yet another weekend :-) !
Anyway, sincere thank you for your fantastic feedback and inputs. Will help me a long way for self improvement.

It is for the voice bro :-) I did notice the shaky start but the voice came exactly like Kishore Kumar. I also saw that the shaky start has already been mentioned in the comments hence I didn’t want to say it :-)
