Oh… Sorry… then I don’t know if you are really familiar with all the old Tamil film songs…Have you heard the song Otrumaiyaai vaazhvathaale undu nanamaiye… vetrumaiyai valarpathanaale vilayum theemaiye… A portion of the song which you sang is exactly in the same tune of a portion of this old Tamil film song…

Was listening to your Abhang upload…. Simply spectacular….!
I am familiar with pretty much most Tamil oldies…. all the way from MKT, CS Jayaraman, to the 1990’s….
The Tamil song that you mention doesn’t ring a bell immediately…. if I listen to it, I will certainly recollect. I tried searching YouTube for it, but it is not there unfortunately….

Thanks very much, Naqvi ji…. I surely can’t take the slightest of credit for the RO in crying mode (breaking voice mode). This was Kishore da’s magic in his original that I just emulated…. All the credit goes to the genius of improvisations :-) !

Good catch, Hema Ji…. Dil ka dard to isme zaroor embedded hai :-) ! Been a nomad for the past 2 years or so due to personal requirements…. Nevertheless, this song and Kishore da’s emoting has always had a tremendous appeal to me right from my childhood days :-)….

- I like the expressions you bring out.
- I would like you to stress on the diction again (kya paYega, USme rehkar….)
- Kishore da has sung this with a strong base voice, whilst there is a nasal tinge in your rendition.
- You have a very open voice which is good. If the diction is corrected, it would be very pleasing to hear all your hindi numbers. I shall listen to more of your renditions.

@Rahul: Yes, I felt the start could have been a bit more solid too…. Thanks for reconfirming this point…. Yes, this “diction” thingy will have to be a continual improvement process for me :-) !
I remember seeing a Telugu number listed among your covers, and I therefore gathered that you are most likely a Southy….
If my inference is correct, I wonder what tips you might have used to perfect your diction…., unless you grew up in the Hindi speaking regions for most part or something….
