Here’s a daring attempt at this Manna Dey Da’s masterpiece from the 1970’s for the Raj Kapoor & Waheeda Rehman movie Teesri Kasam.

Hemanth….Happy diwali to you and family….loved your take on this Bhojpuri style folk song….just felt that you could reduce the reverb a bit….especially when it comes to oldies…it brings the charm when the vocals are kept simple…Not many can attempt this song….kudos…to my favs !!!!

Your input regarding the reverb part is quite valuable to me…. I will keep a watch on it for future covers.

In fact, the reverb setting seemed to have impaired me in the high pitched “yeh yeh yeh” alaap…. It was distorting and making my notes sound flat…. Had to do 2 to 3 rerecordings, and it still isn’t sounding my original singing.

Now I understand why….! Very valuable input indeed….!!

After this recording followed by repeat listening, I have figured out a few aspects for further improvements.

Examples: Consistent pauses after the “ARRE” at the end of all 3 stanzas, slightly lesser echo/reverb, etc.
