Gowri …what a fantastic song pick ….singing this is a real test for any singer….:)

You sang it well, some issues with breath control ….felt you were breaking the lines because of that and loosing the thaal or catching up to the beat after that….I hope you will agree to my observations:) You could have been more expressive as well….

Having said all that ….I really admire your effort at this classic song by Lataji……so hats off for attempting this with no punch ins.

I think this is the right time to take a step back and think about improving the recording and mixing. A flawless recording/mixing combined with a good singer like you can make wonders!

Hi just happened to listen to this beautiful song of yours. You’ve got nice voice and taken it nice too but if you work a little more on it, you can do magic. Just consider where to pause and proper weightage on words with expressions might make it good. Also a little echo and reverb was missing. Adding that would make your voice round and coming from the middle…. try that in future. Keep singing and sharing.

Gowri, let me congratulate you for selecting this Latha-Madan Mohan gem! You have sung well with due discount to the technical problems pointed out by others here. Your voice is very sweet and melodious, and you have the right expressions. You have to improve on your breath control, which will enable you to sing not only flawlessly, but effortlessly. For this you have to practice singing solo notes at a stretch for as long as you can hold your breath. Another technicality is to know when to inhale and exhale while singing- initially you may have to mark the spots in the lyrics where there are convenient gaps for doing this.
Excellence in singing involves a lot of practice-I,m sure we can hear some great stuff from you in future!
