This is an old song by Suzanne Vega. The song talks about a very sensitive topic – Child Abuse. The main character is this song is a kid named Luka who is abused by his parents. The song is presented from his point of view. I love the way she presents a sensitive topic like Child Abuse in a simplistic and candid manner but still hits the point hard. i liked the lyrics. i personally think the song and the cover is a little to upbeat for the topic.

Child abuse is a “constant” in more kids lives than we imagine or believe, and is being fought for hard, each and every step of the way.

Media is a strong way to spread a message and kudos to you for picking this song. I just wish more people hear songs like these :)
