One Man's Dream-by Yanni(Piano Solo Cover)
One Man's Dream-by Yanni(Pi... Lyrics & Chords
This is one of my favourite songs.
And Yanni is my FAVOURITE pianist.Everytime I hear his songs, they soothe me so much. His compositions are full of compassion and peace.
I first found this song very difficult and I nearly gave up! But, my heart kept saying i could do it. So i sat practicing this song for hours. And once again in a hurried attempt, here is my rendition!!
Plz comment. I need your valuable feedback.
Hope u enjoy it!

Guess I am the first to comment here Ganesh!. I just heard it and it was very nice. Sounded much more polished than your first post and the dynamics was nice. If I am not mistaken you must have used at least a couple of tracks for this?. I heard the normal left and right hands and then there were short high note melodies sprinkled on top of that. Sounded nice but I felt there was tempo off-sync in the second track playing. Also heard crackling noises in places. On the whole it was awesome!. Tks for sharing!.

Good da. Finally u played it. I repeat, why dont reduce the tempo and make sure it is consistent thru out. You play so fast overlapping is heard at few places. Am sure it would better if it is slower. Looking forward to more.
Cheers:)

To Srividya,Rashmi,Tara- Thanks a lot for ur comments. It was very encouraging.
Arvind -Hello sir,
Thanks a lot for ur comments!:)
Actually, the one u mentioned as ‘the normal left and right hands’ was only the left hand. And the high pitched notes u mentioned was my right hand.My left and right hands were not played separately. All were done at the same time. Only that i dint record the song at a stretch. i divided it into 4 parts and then recorded! That was the reason why i found this song really difficult!:)Thanks again sir!And i ll definitely not forget to mind the tempo in my next song.:)
Ramya-Thanks for ur comments.I realised it was a bit faster. But this was recorded in a hurry. U do know about the pressure i get from IIT coaching.:)
Cheers,
Ganesh:)

Ganesh, this is one of my fav tracks from Yanni. You have done it very well and could concentrate a little bit more on tempo and getting the right notes at places (like the original).

Ganesh – very very nicely done! Barring the minor tempo issue felt, it was an excellent piece from you and 5 for this attempt!

Hi Ganesh-That was soothing and peaceful….Thanks.
The timing issues hv been pointed out already……The chord/arpeggio changes at a few places were trailing/or ahead of the melody note changes……Once you correct that with more practice,it will sound awesome!
BTW-Is this in the key of C minor?I heard glimpses of Ennullae Ennullae in this!

Subbu.

Ganesh… Very good choice of song and well done! I think this was much better than the rhianna song. I think theres still work left in terms of the flow/phrasing… but you will get there. Keep practicing…
