Another old Malayalam hit for which ‘Ganagandharvan’ KJY got the National Award. This song, from the film “Unnikale Oru Katha Parayam” was the first major hit of Ouseppachan as a music director.
There are couple of cover versions of this song here in this forum…
I have tried to sing the song with maximum possible effort. I am not too sure if I succeeded in my attempt. It sounds so simple though getting it even to this level of perfection was a great task for me…

If you are saying that you cant criticise my song as you have sung it, then you are WRONG… It makes all the more necessary for you to do a better critique as you know the song inside out… And you have to definitely be true to your conscience… Above all it will help me to improve further…I agree to the wrong pronunciation of “thandu poTTum”. I too noticed it , but did not want to redo for that …Please come out with any more popints you may have on my attempt.

Were you singing this song as a lullaby to priya this as she was growing up ? I can sense genuine vatsalyam.
Your tone is nowhere close to Yesudas’ in this, but I felt the exact same warmth. Pleasing and poignant.
