This is one of Mehdi Hassan Ghazal that I like it very much……. Your version sounds more like a re-mix and it’s a new song all together…. So I have to look at it as such. You have sung it very nicely in your own style. Of course, I am a fan of your singing and style. Liked it…… Nice Job !!

After reading a few comments I would like to mention that this is not a ghazal in the first place, secondly Mehndi Hassan was not just popular for ghazals, he has hundreds of beautiful songs to his credit and this song is a good example of that. To be honest I enjoyed this track and has been very well made already. Who so ever prepared this deserves applause too. I believe a singer must leave his own mark on whatever song he sings and you have done just that. Congratulations.

My comment relates to my impressions for this version of the song i.e. to my ears this version sounds like a re-mix…. and I like the Khan Sahab’s version better.

Well I enjoyed listening this song cum ghazal in your voice Krish bhai…. I think the tempo is a bit faster that made it closer to the filmi version of Khan saheb…. I’ve got 3 different tracks of this song and other two’s are filmi version and will share happily if you’re willing to sing on them. Now about singing, you’ve done great job here and taken those critical harkats thats famous with this song besides you also used your style at places…. so all in all it was a beautiful rendition and loved it in your voice…. I guess you should try his other ghazals as well like “Rafta Rafta Wo Meri Hasti Ka”, “Nawazish Karam Shukriya Mehrbani”, and “Hum Se Badal Gaya Wo Nigahen” etc etc.

In many ways, a song rendered differently makes it interesting and I for one, liked both the bgm track and you singing in your silken voice. The fact that this does not sound like Mehdi Hassan Sahab’s style does not make it any less – I think in its own way it is a melodious soothing and touching rendition.
