Very nice NVK….nicely sung and nice to hear this song in your voice. Sounded like PB Sreenivas singing this song. I think you will do very well in PBS songs … if you have not tried so far you must. Your voice will suit his songs very much.

Meena….nicely sung too. Keep it up. Last charanam slight pitching issue especially in “Valarndha Kadhai Solluvaar”. If your diction is tighter a bit will sound better too.

I am not familiar with this song ….but sounds like a very melodious and equally difficult song…loved the expressive rendition. This composition really tests the breath control ….you both did a great job.

Just about the mix ….NVK sir your voice is not balanced properly with Meenas voice ….something to consider for future projects.

Liked it a lot ….5/5 from me.

What a song to cover !?!

NVK —your tone suits this song quite well. Some struggle there in the higher registers but however that being said, very refined rendition!

Meena—Difficult to cover given the range of emotions it needs and the actual range of the song :) Very commendable job. Vilai pesuvar @ 3.03/04—very nicely done.

Meena and NVK : Take a bow for the choice of song.

There is no song in Tamil which can boast of superior lyrical and compositional beauty than malarndhum malaraadha. The genius of MSV-TKR-Kannadhasan combo brings tears in the eyes of listeners.

I particularly liked NVK’s beautiful tone to TMS. TMS over-emotive and relatively harsh voice was never my choice. I would have ideally liked PBS in it NVK’s voice gave me that feeling.

Meena : this song is too high pitched for you. there are some minor pitching issues (example : vaLarththa kadhai sollavaa ), and since this is a song which is a confluence of three geniuses, may I urge you to be a little more attentive to those minor mistakes in your future renditions of the same song ?

Very beautiful rendition and superb song selection.For me NVK sir’s voice sounded a bit like singer AL Raghavan’s in some places and PBS’ in few areas. Meena’s singing was quite good especially in the stanza. The reverb was a touch more in the k-track especially with the bass.
Overall sounded very good.

Divine beauty in this rendition. Simply beautiful.

Both of you were brilliant. Meena, not one flase step.

But NVK Sir, where from did you dig out this TMS voice? I had mentally categorized you in the Yesudas / Mohammad Rafi voice bracket. But this was something else. That little nasal touch here and there was just superb.

Am listening to this song after ages. Realize what a timeless composition it is.

I am very new to this community. Before listening to this song, I read your “about me” and was expecting a matured voice, something like 1970s TMS.

But, I found it really hard to correlate your voice with your picture. In this song you sound very very young like someone in mid 30s! Great!!
