NVK ji, very nicely done as you always do :) A suggestion sir. You do have a pro account. Hence please upload a 320 Kbps version always. That will give a 320 Kbps download and a 128 Kbps version stream which will do justice to the work we do on the track.I find that the download and stream are in 64 Kbps :)

Seems that your are getting noise on higher bit rates…… check the buffer size & make sure its encoded on 44.1 khz…. The ratio goes 8:8:1 for 320 kbps, 44.1 khz mp3 encoding…. can try googln the problem…. I solve lot of my probs that way…. :D

From the very beginning, I have observed that the quality of singers, musicians and composers on Muziboo, expemplary to start with, has improved tremendously with time. You have been at the forefront of this ‘quality control’, so to say, setting higher standards with every song.

Your mixing quality/technical presentation left a lot to be desired initially, but I can see now that you have paid your dues and spent the time learning these seemingly trivial but all-important aspects of presenting a song.

This is the method. After recording the song the first and initial export of the two stereo track has to be in 16 bit 44.1 Khz WAV format. Then open it in the audio file format converter and export as a 44.1 Khz 320 Kbps mp3 file. This should not give any problem at all when uploading to muziboo. This is how I am doing it.

To me it sounds like an ok composition. A recycle of the great “vO shaam kuchh ajeeb thi” in the aalaap especially. And although tune sounds original in hindi, it always gives me a feeling of having inspired metrically from the SPB’s telugu classic “sirimalle neeve”. Anyway, the song was a huge hit when released and pleasant to hear.

A pleasant rendition by you NVK ji. But strangely the words like “maasoom chehra” lack some of the “exclamatory” expression brought out by Udit. The way he has caressed some of the syllables and emoted is really nice. Yours was a little bit of ‘matter of fact’ than of an awe that is characteristic of teenage/early 20s love depicted in this song.

May be matured love is much calmer and more reflective ? :)

NVK, you have sung this song very well! Loved it throughout. The only comment I have is about the production. I don’t know if it is because of the low-fi version, but the voice sounds a lil jarred here and there as if the mic was too close etc. But that is just a technical thing. Your voice and singing in this song is absolutely wonderful! Keep them coming.

Hello NVK,

I am new to Muziboo and I see that you are quite a star here – and for good reason. You really sing exceptionally well. But in the spirit of honest and constructive dialog, I’d like to be brutally frank and I hope you don’t mistake that to be dis-respectful.

I heard some of your other renditions and you have done a good job with this song also, but the quality of voice that you have summoned for some of your other songs (Baat Niklegi….) is far more rich.

In the last verse there is a harkat that Udit Narayan has pulled off (“Achcha nahi hai…… yun door rehena” – at the hai point). and I was expecting to see you replicate that – but looks like you skipped that harkat.

Another observation is that at various points Udit Narayan lets his voice drop to a throaty whisper but you have chosen to maintain a gentle but steady tone throughout. Of course, you are blessed with a fantastic voice – but its just that this song demands something a little different.

Again, take these as constructive criticisms. You are undoubtedly an extremely talented singer (esp. when compared to a novice me) but since you have raised the bar, you should be held to higher standard and therefore these critiques and observations.

I have always felt that this song produced by Rajesh Roshan was inspired by some Tamil song as the music style is very close to MS Viswanathan’s.
