I am a big fan of kishoreji, lataji , ashaji becuase of their voice quality….I felt you were uncomfortable singing at lower registers, the song is all aboput expression , Ashaji ki awaz subhan allah, openthroated and yet expressive…i still say in these kinda songs you cant go for controlled singing……

you could have done a lot better…you went offnote at 00:27 , at 0033 he harqat in “Chaha” could be lot better , I wont call it a variation, this harqat shows depth of ashaji’s voice, your harqat didnt show the depth or expression it was supposed to portray…diya at 0041-0042 could be lot better……

phew Sir I said a lot….
Anyway I appreciate you attempting this "meetha and nasheela " song of ashaji, I would advise you sing the song again with openthroated voice and apt expression

Overall it was good ….would rate u between 3.5 to 4……

Wah Wah Krish, Kya Harkatein liyen hain. Excellint singing in everyway except for a few diction problems. I also thought this pitching is one note low for you but overall it was fantastic. Was a treat to listen this is third time listening….Well done, buddy.

First of all i am impressed by your confidence when you say you are ‘sure’ you have done reasonable justice to the song :) And i think that you have – to some extent :) Nice expressions throughout the song :) I certainly dont regard this among your very best(and there is a long list of those!) but very well sung overall….slightly pitchy at a one or two places and low notes need more strength in them to be more expressive :) Just my 2 cents :) Keep singing :)

Phew!!! Read all those comments, felt everyone was comparing it to the original, I don’t think its fare, as you have already mentioned in your intro that you are trying something different.

To me it was perfect as usual, i never heard the original before. It was as good as your previous ones NVK sir, pitch could have been a bit higher, and other than that I liked your rendition :-).

Oh my God!!! This is not of this world, NVK Sir! Simply divine.

I just love the little nasal touch to your voice in this song. Somewhere in my mad head, you have given a distinct Guru Dutt-era flavour to this O.P. Nayyar composition. How do I describe it? Just that it sounds more ghazal-ish.

Sorry about being away, but there was a silly sound card conflict which prevented me from listening on my machine.

My pranaams again and compliments straight from the heart.

Krishnan Ji aaj Vidhya se yehi geet suna tu nazar aapke cover per bhi pad gayee. Kuch comments nazar se guzre. Iss se pehle kuch likhta pehle woh kara jo kisi bhi passandeeda geet per karta hoon….subse pehle original scale pataa lagana. Main sirif sunkar nahi bataa sakta lehaaza keybord/harmoium ka sahara leta hoon.

Original geet D scale main hai aur aapne D scale main he gaya hai. Ye alag baat hai ke track ki quality shuroo se he gadmudd thi laikin scale original he hai. Mujhe aisa mehsoos hota hai k-track aik note low yani C# main tayyar kara gaya thaa aur aapne ussko aik note ooper karke original scale D main kiya. Ye process itna achha nahi thaa issi wajha se track ki quality kharab hogayee.

Singer jo cheezain seekh sakta hai aur riyaz se behtar kar sakta hai woh hain taal, murkhiyan/modulations, breath, lafzon to shrink ya expand karna, diction, expressions aur feel etc. laikin Sur nahin. Iss liye main kabhi kisi ko Sur ke baray main nahi kehta….Jab mera Sur achha nahi tu main kisi ko kiya kahoonga….Issi liye main keyboard bajata hoon taake oonch neech ka andaza rahe. Sur Allah ki den hai seekhne sikhane se nahi aata jo marzi chahe karlo. Haan few cents baghair kisi noticibilty ke software se correct ho sakti hai usske aage creativity kehlati hai….Sachha Sur nahin.

Track ne aapka saath nahi diya warna ye bohut achha ho sakta thaa iss main mujhe koi shak nahi hai.
