Dear Rashmi and NVK-sir,
Very good song selection. Its tough song for both male and female singers…both of you done it well and good…Congrats.

some places pitch is not consistent in Rashmi’s stanzas. e.g; second time ‘ariyaathae ariyaathe…’ pitch out. also sometimes in ‘alayaan vaa aliyaan vaa’…and noticeable deviations from movie-song at ‘neela shailangal…’, ‘nee daeva shilpamay’, and ‘ezhaam yaamam’.

NVK-sir, sounds similar to Jayachandran as in movie-song. On lines with high pitch, you become very conscious and feel like about to make an error! Over all excellent. Me&family appreciate your high energies, enthusiasm, dedication and love for good music.

Rashmi, u did a very graceful and excellent ending of the song with your classical&class female voice and with a skiing effect! with the background music at end…congrats again…keep it up.

Waiting for similar challenging songs from you both.

wow…one of my favourites!
Rashmi has done well….though i agree with Rajesh about the inconsistency in the pitch….the notes were not bang on in many places….very very slight variations…But singing Chitra’s songs are not easy anyway…so good job overall…i would definitely have liked a precise “alayan va aliyan va” that subtle sangadhi of chitra…and the last humming…though it was good….wasnt perfect i would say…But Rashmi your voice was beautiful!

NVK sir: First of all thanks for singing this song…somehow i feel you were nervous singing this one…were you? i felt you didnt sing it with the ease with which you sing most songs!Some notes i thought were not there….yaamam…aliyaan…raaja…vennai…vanavalagaiyai places like these could have been more precise….But nevertheless…you both sounded great…even attempting songs like these need special appreciation….:)Keep it up!

I too felt that its a really tough song to cover with its subtle sangathis. Rajesh and Sudhathee……you are bull’s eye on the portions where I had to struggle for doing justice to the song.

Wow,a beautiful melody. very well sung.
Sounds very easy but very difficult to maintain proper sruthi especially in the pallavi while singing ‘yezham yaamam’ . Very good singing by both of you and I enjoyed listening to this song.

Krish Ji / Rashmi: Luved the song, eventhough both of you are not in ur full form. But song came out fantastically with your tallent. I admire Suresh Peters, who is well known for fast numbers, for composing such a wonderful melody. One of the rare melodies Jayettan got during his come back.

Fantastic reproduction of the original….I have been listening to NVK a lot & appreciating his music…He truly sets the standards very high for the group.

But Rashmi this is the first time I’ve heard you and must say it took me by surprise….Beautifully sung and though there were minor variations it almost sounded like Chitra herself!

I could say this is one of top duets I’ve heard so far on this site….

More plz………maybe a semi classical???
