My salutations to all... (cover by sriram)

My salutations to all... (c... Lyrics & Chords

This is one of the most beautiful songs I always wanted to sing. I could not find a
k-track, so I have sung along with the original – you can listen to the original singer SPB’s voice on the left speaker and my voice on the right. please use head phones for best results…. :)

Endaro Mahanubhavulu (Raagam Sri)

This is a song written in telugu by SAINT Tyagaraja (0ne of the Trinities of Carnatic Classical Music) and is now famous all over the world. The song is a dedication to all the great maestros and performers. The line : “ENDARO MAHANU BAVULU ANDARIKI VANDANAMULU” means “Salutations to all the great humans in this world”

Pallavi
There are countless great personages; my salutations to them all.

Anupallavi

Beholding in their lotus-heart
the charm and bearing of the Moon-faced one,
enjoying the Supreme Bliss, (many are the great personages….)

Charanam 1
Enjoyer of the singing of Samans! One as handsome as Cupid!
(Many are) the blessed pre-eminent persons.

Charanam 2
(Many are) those who (mentally) remaining with the Lord found in the mind, behold well His Form.

Charanam 3
(Many are) those who immediately surrender their heart-lotus at His feet.

Charanam 4
(Many are those who are) well-known for continually seeing
in their eyes the lovely Lord with exceedingly charming gait,
attaining horripilation remain delightfully immersed in the Ocean of bliss.

Charanam 5
There are countless great personages who – attaining a very long life and uninterrupted experience of bliss along with joy of Bhaava, Raga and Laya etc., became the benefactors of this Thyagaraja by understanding the secrets of Srimad-Bhagavatam, Ramayana, Srimad-Bhagavad-Gita etc., Vedas, sciences and epics, the secret of the six methods of formal worship like, Saiva and others, the inner minds of thirty-three crores celestials; I offer my salutations to all of them.

Very nice attempt, Sri! Liked your choice! You are doing very well with classical numbers these days. Innum konjam perfection aim pannaa, will sound even nicer(in terms of delivering the sangathis with more of a carnatic touch than light). But the expressions were very very nice. Also this song is so difficult and you have done justice! :)

Loved it all along! :)

Hi Sriram, Excellent singing….As Adithi rightly put it, if you could concentrate more on classical touch rather than following SPB’s style, it would have been the BEST from you. Still,a great show!!! Congrats….

Thank you Sriram for leaving a scribble.
This is one of the gems of Saint Tyagaraja.

Listened to this happy…. but sorry at the same time have to say something…. It is not pointers.
I do know the Carnatic music and find this to be different from what i have learnt.
hope, u don’t mind my honest feedback.
Indha krithi lai 10 charnams irukume….
En padalai ….
I don’t know any other version of the song other than pure Carnatic stuff.
Apparam …. Some places it needs more stress on the syllable. Ayuthi padi irukanum.

Even – Endharo… chollarate kuda. I am sure U don’t speak Telugu. understand that.
I love the pure Carnatic style…. idhu konjam Cinematic madhiri ennaku pattadhu.
Usually i keep away when i don’t find the song feasible for me to enjoy. Since U left me a note taking my liberty to write it.
some people don’t like pointers in this site.
Charanam – Ean kammi pannitel… Track seriya illena ?
SRIRAM JUST DELETED THE CHARANAMS HERE AS IT IS NOT REQUIRED.
I just could not keep things to myself so written what i felt. Sorry about it.
I love Carnatic songs and which made me point it out.
U are at liberty to delete this scribble if need be. No problems.
On the appreciations side….
U are bestowed with an excellent voice.
Were sounding very good at places. Enjoyed it.

Dr. Priya,

Thanks for taking the time to listen to my effort and respond with your detailed and honest feedback and questions.

The version, I have tried presenting, is a film version of “Endharo” – from the movie Tyagayya (1981) sung by SPB. I just followed the track.

There is another film version made in 1946 sung by Actor and Singer Nagayya.

Sriram…

Was really very enjoyable… I am not well versed in carnatic or any other form of classical music. I felt you did a good job overall. You seemed to be losing grip at the higher notes…Sangatis could have been more crispier at places…

Great attempt however…

Sriram thanks a lot for your reply. Well, taken time to visit the link above.
Yes, SPB has sung in the same way. Never knew about it.
Now understand it much better. Was thinking U sang the Original Carnatic version. U have done 1005 justice to the song. No issues and pointers from me.
Usually when U post some Tamil songs do leave a link, would like to know better.
Always, admire your lovely voice with good control. Keep it up.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
