Once again I thank god for the chance to present my humble attempt on this ever green cover to all of my loving hearts from the movie Mullum Malarum (Thorn and Flower).
Still I could remember this movie was released in 1978 during my final year course of Technical high school (11th Standard -Old pattern) at Adyar, Chennai, and it was very successful those days and songs are still very popular.
The movie has won many awards, and was very successful commercially as well. It is probably the only film after ‘Paasamalar’ that showcased the love and attachment between siblings so powerfully. The climax of the film won critical acclaim for director Mahendran and actors Rajinikanth and Shoba. Wonderful camera work of Balu Mahendra and the beautiful background music score of Ilayaraaja is other back bone for the success of this movie.
I would like to wish every one my dear loving sisters and brothers from my heart, and praying god to provide very happiest life with good health and wealth.

Was a 8 year old then, I remember this movie. It was in B&W, it was shot I think in Glen Morgan Tea Estate, Nilgiris.The rope/trolley to the power house is I think also shown in the movie.

An interestingly different song ….rendered pretty well.However i agree with Ajay on the matter of the lacking punch.After listening to you singing kalyanam katcheri,i feel this could have been enhanced by more energised singing and better track volume.My suggestions come out of admiration of your singing ji.
