i am guessing it has something to do with post- death/ doom era..i am not sure..i thought hardcore is still around .. bands like gorgoroth , dimmu borgir..its more of a norweigan death metal scene but it has serious “Aryan” , “neo-nazist” overtones..not many musicians dig deep into the lyrics and you end up associating yourself to bands that really dont propagate anything ! they are not politically correct and you could perhaps get killed during their concert cos of ur skin color !! lol ..
ok..man.. 1st of all i m rly glad that ur interested to knw more about genres ur not familiar with.. :)
but no.. it has nothing to do with post/death doom era n all.. its actually evolved frm Metalcore, Punk n Hardcore music..
thers blast beats frm metalcore, palm muted mosh riffs from frm nu metal , melodious vocals.. sometimes with a punk blund.. n kickass screamin.. which is gut wrenchin.. Posthardcore is also sometimes associated wid Screamo.. like alesana .. theres guitar harmonies .. moshpits.. 2 vox.. 1 screams.. other sings loudly.. n heavy use of bass .. I m givin some PostHardcore bands (phc bands) ::: Saosin Hawthorne Heights Blessthefall From First to Last Escape the Fate Underoath Silverstein Drop Dead Gorgeous Finch Fightstar Funeral for a Friend Enter Shikari I am Ghost
Actually am still not very good at knowing about genres .. what makes them special etc .. like i know rock .. metal .. psychedelic (am a die hard Pink Floyd Fan)
I know Nirvana in punk .. but I have never tried out any of these other bands .. what you uploaded falls in post-hardcore?
